One Night Only is the newest rom-com from director Will Gluck. Gluck is best known for his past romantic-comedy hits Easy A, Friends With Benefits and Anyone But You. This film stars Callum Turner and Monica Barbaro in the two lead roles, and comes with a massive high-concept twist to the average romantic-comedy film.
In addition to the two big stars, One Night Only also features Molly Ringwald, Maya Hawke, LeVar Burton and Julia Fox, in addition to a collection of fun cameos from some familiar faces. The film is not meant to be an award-winner, but a fun time at the movies like Gluck’s other successes. Does One Night Only meet the mark when it comes to those expectations? Let’s find out.

One Night Only Average Rating Across Major Review Sites
Based on the early reviews, One Night Only hits just about where many thought it would. While the critics’ scores on Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic are likely lower than Gluck would have liked, it was never going to be a smash critical success. However, audiences on IMDb and Letterboxd have a much more favorable view of it, with both user bases giving it over a 6/10. It is by no means going to go down as a classic based on these reviews, but it seems like audiences enjoyed their time at the movies, which is really all you can ask for from a film like this.
