In the trailer for Season 4 of Ted Lasso, it is clear that big changes will occur in the new season. For the first three seasons, Ted Lasso was the Head Coach of AFC Richmond, a men’s soccer team in London. Now, it appears that Lasso will lead a women’s soccer team instead in the fourth season.
Ted Lasso Season 3 Recap
For the first two seasons, Ted Lasso was having an easy transition to living in London from Kansas, where he is originally from. But his home life began to weigh more heavily on Lasso’s mind throughout the third season. Season 3 left off with Lasso and Coach Beard leaving, with the future of AFC Richmond seeming uncertain.
In Season 3, we also saw Nate Shelley return to AFC Richmond and help lead the team alongside Roy Kent and Coach Beard after Lasso left. Shelley previously left AFC Richmond to join West Ham but later decided he made the wrong decision. But without Lasso as Head Coach, AFC Richmond’s owner, Rebecca Welton, had a decision to make about the team’s future.
