The co-main event of today’s UFC Fight Night in Belgrade, Serbia, sees the former Light Heavyweight Champion No. 4 Jan Blachowicz take on rising star No. 15 Navajo Stirling. Blachowicz was originally slated to have a rematch with Bogdan Guskov, whom he fought to a draw in December 2025. But Guskov stepped up to fight Magomed Ankalaev, causing Stirling to take the opportunity against a former champion.

Navajo Stirling to Win by Decision (-105)

Although Blachowicz is ranked No. 4, he is 0-2-2 in his previous four contests, and last won a fight in May 2022 against Aleksandar Rakic. But Blachowicz’s previous two losses came to the last two fighters to hold the UFC Light Heavyweight title, Alex Pereira and Carlos Ulberg. Now, Blachowicz will face Navajo Stirling, who is a teammate of Ulberg at City Kickboxing, the popular gym in New Zealand. Stirling beat Ion Cutelaba on June 20 and has had a quick turnaround for this contest. 

On DraftKings Sportsbook, Stirling is the favorite at -325 with Blachowicz as a +260 underdog in this contest. The over/under is set at 2.5 rounds for this fight, with the over being -210. In this fight, Stirling is taller (6’4″ vs. 6’2″) with a reach advantage (79″ vs. 78″) over the former champion. Stirling is a much better striker, landing 6.24 significant strikes per minute compared to Blachowicz’s 3.55. 

As Blachowicz has gotten older, he hasn’t been as aggressive as he was before and came up short against the top guys at 205 pounds. Stirling is a supreme athlete and has all the tools to continue his winning streak against the former champion. Although Blachowicz could struggle against Stirling, he still could be tougher to knock out than Stirling’s previous opponents. That is because Blachowicz has been in the UFC since 2014 but has only been knocked out once. Also, three of Stirling’s last five wins have come by decision, which is why I’m backing Stirling to win by decision at -105.
