President Curtis has officially taken the torch from Rick and Morty, which just wrapped up its ninth season. The Keith David-starring spinoff is now Adult Swim’s headlining Sunday night show, carrying over the original series’ animation style and sense of humor.

When does President Curtis Season 1 Episode 2 come out?
President Curtis Season 1 Episode 2 will premiere on Adult Swim at 11:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, August 2. The episode, which is titled Triangle, will have a runtime around 22 minutes. It will be available to stream on HBO Max on Monday, August 3.
As was the case with the past eight seasons of Rick and Morty, President Curtis Season 1 will be 10 episodes long. It won’t be a miniseries, either, since Adult Swim has already renewed the show for Season 2.

President Curtis has quickly established its core cast of characters, introducing plenty of fresh faces to surround Curtis himself – the titular character has had the same voice actor since Rick and Morty Season 2. Here is a look at the recurring voice cast, as well as who they are playing:

Ian Cardoni and Harry Belden made cameos as Rick and Morty, respectively, in the pilot. They could pop up one more time this season, but I don’t think they will intrude too much. Sam Richardson, Timothy Simons, Kristen Schaal and Gillian Jacobs are among the celebrities expected to pop up for one-off cameos later on this season, as well.
What to expect in President Curtis Season 1 Episode 2
There was a decent amount of table-setting in Episode 1, since Banks served as a point-of-view character who was even newer to Curtis’ cabinet than the audience. Banks is still positioned as the audience surrogate moving forward, but the show will presumably be quicker to dive into the adventure of the week.
Based on the lookahead to Episode 2, Curtis and his team have to deal with an issue at America’s secret supernatural prison in the Bermuda Triangle. Curtis wants to inspect the facility after something went wrong, seemingly involving the Loch Ness monster. The episode’s synopsis is as follows:
“After a dead Loch Ness monster washes ashore, Curtis, Banks, and O’Doyle must investigate a secret monster prison deep in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle.”
