UPDATE: The weather has started to clear up in Boston and the new scheduled first pitch for today’s Rays vs. Red Sox game is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. ET.

Today’s matchup between the Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox has been delayed due to weather. The tarp is currently on the field, and the scheduled first pitch time remains up in the air after initially being scheduled for 4:10 p.m. ET.

This marks the third of four matchups between these two teams in the first series coming out of the All-Star break. The two teams faced off in a doubleheader yesterday, in which the Red Sox took both games to extend their winning streak to 11. Boston blew out Tampa Bay with a 10-0 victory in the first game, and added to this with a 5-3 victory later on.

Looking at the odds for today’s matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook, the Red Sox are narrow -119 favorites, while the Rays hold +155 odds on the -1.5 run line. The game total is set at 9.5 runs.

Ian Seymour and Patrick Sandoval are the expected starters for their respective squads.
