For the second consecutive week, Real American Freestyle will host a wrestling event! After having their first international event last week, they are back in the United States for RAF 11 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena. This card features two big matches at the top: Arman Tsarukyan vs. Colby Covington and Ben Askren vs. Belal Muhammad.
Before, it appeared that the UFC didn’t want any of their active fighters to compete against each other in another promotion. But after Covington retired, he is now cleared to face any current UFC star in RAF. After losing two straight MMA fights, Covington has returned to his roots of wrestling and won three straight matches in RAF. Covington was a two-time Pac-10 Champion at Oregon State and began his combat sports journey as a wrestler. Although Tsarukyan hasn’t been very active in the UFC, as he last fought in November 2025, he has been busy with wrestling and grappling competitions. Over the last 14 months, Tsarukyan has had 13 wrestling or grappling matches and won 12 of them, with the other a draw. But now Tsarukyan has his toughest opponent in wrestling to date: Covington. Tsarukyan is a -650 favorite, with Covington being a +400 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.
13 months after receiving a double lung transplant, Ben Askren will make his return to competition and take on former UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad in a wrestling match. Askren has made a miraculous recovery and is one of the best comeback stories in sports history. Before Askren became ill, he was scheduled to compete at RAF 01 in August 2025. Askren is one of the greatest collegiate wrestlers of all time, having won three Big 12 Championships and two NCAA Division I Championships while attending Missouri. Askren was also a member of the United States wrestling team at the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, where he reached the quarterfinals. He went on to have a very successful career in MMA, where he went 19-2 with 12 finishes and was a Champion in Bellator and in ONE. Askren’s last combat sports contest was a boxing match against Jake Paul in April 2021. This is his first wrestling match since September 2009, when he faced Pablo Popovitch at the 2009 ADCC Championships.
Muhammad, the former UFC Champion, has lost three consecutive MMA fights and is 0-1 in RAF. He lost his first match in the promotion to David Carr at RAF 4 in December 2025. Muhammad’s last victory in combat sports came against Leon Edwards at UFC 304 in July 2024. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Muhammad is a -3000 favorite with Askren being a +1000 underdog.
