WWE is back at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for the first time since September 2024 to host an episode of Friday Night SmackDown. On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, CM Punk made a shocking return and defeated Sami Zayn in an impromptu match to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. In the last two weeks, three wrestlers have held that title: Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, and now CM Punk.

Even though the title isn’t on the line, it just doesn’t seem like it is the right time for the current United States Champion to take a pin.

Since moving to SmackDown, Finn Balor will have his first singles match on the show against Tama Tonga. They both were a part of the legendary wrestling faction, the Bullet Club, in NJPW. Although Tonga has shown potential without Solo Sikoa, Balor is a former WWE Champion with a better skill set.
