House of the Dragon has tied up the loose ends from Season 2 and is moving forward with new storylines for Season 3. The Dance of Dragons is as deadly and complicated as ever, rounding out the Game of Thrones canon on the small screen. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and its smaller-scale story have been put on hold until next year, leaving this summer wide open for all the grizzly and groundbreaking twists and turns of the Targaryen civil war.

When does House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 4 come out?
Season 3 Episode 4 will premiere on HBO at 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 12. It will be available to stream on HBO Max at the same time. The episode is expected to have a runtime around 61 minutes, but its title remains unknown.
Like Game of Thrones, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and most other major HBO titles, House of the Dragon is releasing one episode a week – all on Sunday nights. There will be eight episodes in Season 3, as there were in Season 2. After that, HBO has greenlit a fourth and final season with a scheduled release date of 2028.

House of the Dragon took a bit of a break from killing off characters in Episode 3 after knocking off Jacaerys Velaryon, Otto Hightower, Jasper Wylde, Simon Strong and Lorent Marbrand over the prior two weeks. In fact, the ensemble continued to grow by adding Ser Torren Manderly and revealing that we still haven’t met the real Daeron Targaryen. What to expect in House of the Dragon Season 3 Episode 4
Ormund Hightower has taken Tumbleton hostage, daring Rhaenyra to storm a village under her protection. After handing over a fake Daeron Targaryen in Episode 3, it is clear that Alicent’s cousin is becoming one of the show’s primary antagonists moving forward. The lookahead to Episode 4 shows a lot of Ormund waxing poetic in his new seat, making sweeping claims about his purpose and the rightful line of succession. It is worth noting that Ulf’s wife is taking refuge in Tumbleton, which could complicate his role in retaking the town.
We will also get back to Aegon and Lrys Strong after not checking in with them in Episode 3. By the looks of it, they will arrive at Rook’s Rest, where the corpse of Aegon’s dragon – Sunfyre – is still decomposing atop the castle. The palace intrigue back in King’s Landing will also continue, with Rhaenyra looking to appoint a Master of Coin to either fix the crown’s money troubles or shoulder the blame for their financial woes. They are still waiting on a response from the Lannisters to discover what the previous Master of Coin did with the missing riches. Rhaenyra is also juggling feuds with Alicent, the Faith and the wealthy merchants she just served rats and robbed blind. Corlys isn’t particularly happy with his queen, either, after she refused to legitimize his bastard sons.
Criston Cole and Gwayne Hightower are also set to arrive at Harrenhal following Aemond’s one-man siege on Vhagar. They will come face-to-face will Alys Rivers, who was the last person to see Aemond alive in Episode 2.
