The 2026 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is almost here! This year’s event begins at 10:45 a.m. ET with the women’s contest followed by the men’s competition at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN 2. Before the 2026 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest kicks off today, check out the prize pool for the contestants.

Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Prize Pool

In 2025, the overall prize pool for the men’s and women’s competition was $40,000. The winner of each contest earns $10,000, with $5,000 going to second place and $2,500 to third place.
