UPDATE: Jalen Duren has once again returned to the Pistons’ bench on Friday. As of the start of the fourth quarter, he’s back in the game.

Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren headed to the locker room during the third quarter of Friday’s Game 6 vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers due to an ankle injury.

Per the broadcast, Duren rolled an ankle and headed back to the locker room briefly before returning to the bench and checking back into the game. However, he’s now gone backstage once again to get looked at.

There is no official update on his status as of this time.

The 22-year-old big man has played 20 minutes in Friday’s game, scoring nine points with seven rebounds.

If Duren sees fewer minutes due to injury or does not return at all, watch for Paul Reed or Isaiah Stewart to see more action on the floor.

Duren’s play has come under fire lately after underperforming in the NBA Playoffs. After making an All-Star appearance this season, the center has posted just 10.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game across 12 prior postseason games. However, he remains an integral part of Detroit’s game plan.

The Pistons trail the Cavaliers 3-2 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals prior to the conclusion of tonight’s game.

This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
