DraftKings has a new promotion in May. It’s the MLB Grand Slam Payout.
The concept is simple. Opt-in and get a MLB Grand Slam Payout token. Use that token on a single wager or for a parlay on a player to hit a home run, and if that home runs ends up being a grand slam, receive a share of $250,000 in bonus bets — or more!
After three straight games with a grand slam, Major League Baseball didn’t have a home run with the bases full on Saturday, meaning the $250,000 in bonus bets rolls to Sunday’s slate, setting up a massive $500,000 in bonus bets up for grabs this Sunday. With all 30 teams on the schedule coming into the day, it should be a great afternoon and evening of baseball with plenty of drama, especially when the bases are loaded.

MLB Grand Slam Payout Picks
Christian Walker, Astros
The Astros are spending the weekend at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, where they’ve split the first two games of the series. On Friday, the Astros hit four homers and smashed their way to a 10-0 win before struggling to one run on Saturday against Chase Burns. They’ll get a much more favorable matchup on Sunday afternoon as they face lefty Andrew Abbott. Abbott has a 5.13 ERA, 4.77 FIP and 1.64 WHIP this season and has given up five home runs in eight starts. He has allowed plenty of traffic on the bases, especially at home. He has a .313 batting average against him at home, where he has given up all five of his homers allowed.
Walker is off to a strong start to the season for the ‘Stros and usually hits cleanup, theoretically setting him up with the most bases-loaded situations possible. He’s hitting .288 with nine homers, a .247 ISO and a .388 wOBA. His 49.2% hard-hit rate would be a new career high, and he has a strong 13.6% barrel rate as well. Walker has hit two of his nine homers this year against lefties and has been slightly better on the road than at Daikin Park. The weather will be homer-friendly in Cincinnati this afternoon and the matchup sets up well for Walker to have a chance to deliver.
Bryce Eldridge, Giants
The Giants are searching for some spark for their offense, and rookie slugger Bryce Eldridge may be just what they need. Eldridge hit his first career homer on Saturday, with the highest launch angle of any of the 27 homers hit in the majors that day. The majestic moonshot splashed into McCovey Cove on a bounce. Eldridge made his MLB debut on Monday and is just 2-for-13 with four strikeouts, but he has plenty of raw power to go yard in any at-bat. The 6-foot-7 lefty hit 25 homers in the minors last season and five homers in 30 games before his promotion this season.
On Sunday afternoon, Eldridge and the Giants will take on Bubba Chandler and the Pirates. Chandler is also a top prospect, but the 23-year-old righty has had some control issues this season, issuing 26 walks in 34 innings with a 17.1% walk rate. He has surrendered five homers in seven starts, with four homers in his four road starts. He has a 5.30 ERA with 17 walks and a hit-by-pitch in his 18 2/3 road innings this season and a .363 wOBA against him.
The Giants have had trouble getting runners on base this season, but Chandler has been giving out free passes enough that they should have traffic on Sunday afternoon. Lefties like Eldridge have done most of the damage against Chandler, hitting four of the five homers against him with a .353 wOBA and .485 SLG on the season. Could the rookie come up big for a second day in a row, but this time deliver in grand fashion? I think he is a sneaky pick with solid upside this Sunday.
