The penultimate episode of Saturday Night Live Season 51 is about to be wicked funny.
Actor Matt Damon will host SNL on May 9, alongside musical guest — and fellow New Englander — Noah Kahan.
The Academy Award winner returns to Studio 8H to host for a third time, ahead of his highly anticipated film, Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, which lands in theaters on July 17.
The Good Will Hunting (1997) and The Martian (2015) star, 55, made his SNL hosting debut in October 2002 and later headlined in December 2018.
Damon has also made several cameos over the years — including his first-ever appearance on the Gwenyth Paltrow-hosted episode of Season 27 in November 2001.
Damon stars as Odysseus in Nolan’s eagerly awaited adaptation of Homer’s legendary poem, one of the foremost pieces of Western literature. The fantasy epic will mark Damon’s first leading role with the Oscar-winning director; he previously delivered supporting roles in Interstellar (2014) and Oppenheimer (2023).
Kahan, an indie-folk artist known for the hit song “Stick Season,” hits the stage following the release of his fourth studio album, The Great Divide.
