The NBA playoffs are just around the corner, and in the first round, we get an intriguing matchup between the #4 seed Los Angeles Lakers and the #5 seed Houston Rockets.

Lakers vs. Rockets Opening Odds

Looking at the odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, the Rockets are favorites to win the series at -600, while the Lakers are underdogs to advance at +450.

Looking at the total games odds, the line is set at 5.5 games. The over is priced at +105 while under 5.5 games in this series is available at -125.

The #4 seed Lakers finished with a regular-season record of 53-29. The big question for this series is the health of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. They both are currently injured, but could return at some point in the series.

The #5 seed Rockets finished with a regular-season record of 52-30. Houston was much better on their home floor with a 30-11 record, compared to 22-19 on the road.

Game 1 is set for Saturday or Sunday in Los Angeles. Buckle up, folks. This is going to be a good one.
