Anthony Edwards Injury Update: Sunday 4/5/26 vs. Hornets

After being listed as questionable, Anthony Edwards has been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup vs. the Hornets with a right knee injury.

This injury has been bothering Edwards for quite some time, as he has missed seven of Minnesota’s last nine games. The No. 6-seeded Timberwolves are likely to finish in that spot with only five games remaining in the regular season and it wouldn’t be surprising if Edwards only played in a game or two before the playoffs.

Edwards is averaging a career-high 28.9 PPG this season to go along with 5.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. The guard leads Minnesota with a 31.5% usage rate and with Edwards out, Julius Randle ($8,500), Ayo Dosunmu ($6,900) and Naz Reid ($5,800) will be the team’s main weapons.

The Timberwolves are 10-7 with Edwards inactive, but the club has lost three of its last four entering tonight. Minnesota opened as a 1.5-point favorite on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sunday’s matchup vs. the Hornets, but the Timberwolves are now a 3.5-point underdog with Edwards ruled out.
