Brewers at Royals game postponed due to rain Friday 4/3/26

With the turn of the calendar to April, it seems spring showers are already here! Friday’s game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Kansas City Royals has been postponed due to rain.

First pitch was initially scheduled for 7:45 p.m. ET at Kauffman Stadium but inclement weather in the area forced officials into postponing the game. The contest has been moved to tomorrow — Saturday, April 4 — as part of a split doubleheader.

Game one of the Saturday doubleheader will begin at 2:10 p.m. ET with the second scheduled for 7:10 p.m.

Milwaukee’s Chad Patrick was previously expected to start Friday against Kansas City’s Luinder Avila, with each pitcher making their first start of the new season. Whether those matchups remain the same for Saturday’s first game is uncertain.

The Brewers have been red hot to open 2026, going 5-1 through their first six games. The Royals have split their first six contests at an even 3-3 so far.
