Vannata has suffered two consecutive losses and is 2-4 in his previous six fights. In his last fight, he came up short against Daniel Zellhuber in April 2023. So now, Vannata returns after a three-year layoff to face Flowers. After earning a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2022, Flowers has lost three straight bouts.
In this fight, both fighters are the same height (5’9″) and have the same standing reach (71″). Vannata and Flowers are primarily strikers, and Vannata has the edge. That is because Flowers averages 1.45 significant strikes per minute while being better defensively.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Vannata is the favorite at -218 with Flowers being +180. Even though Vannata hasn’t been active lately, I still think he should be able to find success in this contest, as Flowers isn’t as talented as his previous opponents. Since five of Vannata’s previous six fights have ended by decision, I’m taking this bout to end via decision as well at +180.
