Victor Wembanyama Injury Update: Thursday 4/2/26 vs. Clippers

With the Spurs playing their second game in as many nights, star big man Victor Wembanyama will be out Thursday against the Clippers for injury management purposes.

Wembanyama has been on a tear and making his case for MVP. The big man destroyed the Warriors for 41 points and 18 rebounds on Wednesday. Against the Bulls on Monday, Wembanayama tallied 41 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists.

He’s averaging 24.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, three assists, and an NBA-leading 3.1 blocks per game this season.

Wembanyama is leading San Antonio with a 32.2% usage rate. With him sidelined Thursday, Stephon Castle ($7,300) and De’Aaron Fox ($6,600) should lead the way for the Spurs. With Wembanyama off the floor this season, Castle and Fox lead the team with 30% and 29% usage rates, respectively.

The Spurs are 10-5 with Wembanyama inactive this season and will look to keep the momentum going in a must-win game against the Clippers. San Antonio is only two games behind the Thunder for the top seed in the Western Conference.

After opening as 4.5-point favorites, the Spurs now sit as 1.5-point underdogs against the Clippers on DraftKings Sportsbook.
