Chelsea vs. Port Vale prediction, pick for Saturday 4/4/26

The quarter-finals of the FA Cup have arrived, and one of the four matchups will take place at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea hosts Port Vale.

Chelsea are massive -1600 favorites on the moneyline for this one on DraftKings Sportsbook, with a draw available at +1200. Fancy a Port Vale upset? The League One side are +2200 to win inside the 90 minutes.

Chelsea vs. Port Vale Prediction, Pick

Chelsea have played all lower league opposition on their way to the quarter-finals of this competition, and that trend will continue on Saturday.

In the third round, they faced Charlton away in what was Liam Rosenior’s first game in charge of the Blues. Chelsea dominated that fixture, coming out 5-1 victors. In the fourth round, they faced Hull City away. The Blues were comfortable winners once again, winning 4-0. In the fifth round, Wrexham gave them their toughest game of this campaign. It was 2-2 at the end of 90 minutes, but two goals in extra time were the difference as Chelsea ended up 4-2 victors.

After facing three consecutive Championship teams on the road, things actually get easier for Chelsea as they now face Port Vale at home, who are dead last in League One.

I’m backing Chelsea to score at least four goals in this one, as they did against better opposition in Charlton and Hull. Although they did eventually score four against Wrexham, we would need them to score the goals within the 90 minutes in this fixture for the bet to hit.

Even though Chelsea aren’t in the best form right now, I believe Port Vale have no chance of keeping this game competitive. There are 61 places between these teams in the English football pyramid, and Port Vale have only won one of their last six games. The League One side has done really well to make it this far, and that win over Sunderland in the fifth round will go down in their history. This game, however, is another kettle of fish.

Best Bet: Chelsea Over 3.5 Team Goals (-125)
