Battle joined the PFL and immediately faces one of their best fighters in Eblen. Nine of Battle’s 12 wins have come by submission or knockout in his career. Although Eblen lost his last fight, he was headed toward a decision victory before Costello van Steenis pulled off the late submission. Battle has faced tough competition in the UFC, but Eblen is still one of the best Middleweights in the world, regardless of promotion.
The former champion is a -380 favorite while Battle is a +300 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook. This fight is -205 to go to the judges’ scorecards and +155 to end via finish. The total is set at 2.5, with the over at -260.
Battle has a wild style, while Eblen is a more composed fighter who likes to figure out his opponent as the fight progresses. I think Eblen will be able to slow Battle down while scoring takedowns in this contest. If he does so, a victory is likely for the former champion, as he should be extra motivated heading into this fight, coming off a loss.
