2026 Miami Open Pick, Prediction for Arthur Fils vs. Jiri Lehecka

The Miami Open is on to the semifinals. The first semi of the day sees World No. 31 Arthur Fils take on World No. 22 Jiri Lehecka. The match begins at 3:00. p.m. ET.

Fils is -163 on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook, while Lehecka is +133. This is my best bet to target for the Fils vs. Lehecka match.

Arthur Fils vs. Jiri Lehecka Preview

While one men’s semifinal features two familiar faces, Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev, this semifinal features some fresh faces in a big tournament like the Miami Open. Arthur Fils, in particular, is one of the rising stars in the sport. The Frenchman is just 21-years-old and is already showing that he can be one of tennis’ best players. It was actually last year’s Sunshine Double where Fils showed his level, making the quarterfinals in both Indian Wells and Miami. He has now repeated that feat this year, making the quarterfinals at Indian Wells and going even one step further, making the semifinals here in Miami.

Jiri Lehecka had a strong 2025 season. He won the Brisbane International, his second career ATP title. He also made the US Open quarterfinals, his second-career major quarterfinal. That propelled Lehecka into the top 20 in the world rankings. A trip to the Miami Open final would be the biggest match of Lehecka’s career. It would be his first-ever Masters 1000 final, despite the fact that he would be a big underdog to either Sinner or Zverev. At 24-years-old, it’s time for Lehecka to prove if he has what it takes to be one of the great players in the sport, or if his ceiling is what we have already seen. Lehecka certainly has the more impressive upset in this tournament between him and Fils, taking down Taylor Fritz in the Round of 16.

Arthur Fils vs. Jiri Lehecka Pick, Best Bet

My best bet for this match is on Arthur Fils to get the win. The Frenchman seems to have an extra gear that Lehecka can not get to if Fils is playing his best tennis. That was evident when these two faced off earlier this year in Doha. Fils defeated Lehecka 6-3, 6-3 in the Qatar Open quarterfinals, eventually reaching the final, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz. Lehecka did win the only meeting between the two in 2025, when they faced off in Canada. However, that was the final match of competitive tennis that Fils played in 2025 before missing the next six months of action with an injury. Fils had been dealing with a lingering ailment that whole summer, but over the past two months, he seems back to his best.

In his last three tournaments, Fils made the Qatar Open final, beating Jiri Lehecka along the way. He then made the quarterfinals at Indian Wells, only losing to World No. 4 Alexander Zverev. Fils is now looking to make his first-career ATP Masters 1000 final here in Miami. Fils has the higher ceiling between these two players, and with the form he is in over the past six weeks, he is undoubtedly the deserving favorite.

Best Bet: Arthur Fils ML (-163)
