Tuesday’s modest NBA slate pits four games between eight different teams. Still, there are a few matchups worth tuning in for tonight. The Magic, looking to solidify their playoff positioning, will take on the contending Cavaliers. Later, the Nuggets and Suns battle in a potential playoff preview.

Kon Knueppel 19+ points (-124)
The Hornets hit the jackpot during last summer’s NBA Draft, acquiring Kon Knueppel with the fourth overall pick. It’s been a terrific campaign so far for the Rookie of the Year favorite. Through 70 games, he’s averaging 19.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists. Most impressive, the Duke alum has done so on efficient 49/43/87 shooting splits. On a Charlotte offense with several high-octane scorers, the 20-year-old might be its most talented.
Tonight presents yet another opportunity for the neophyte to make his mark. Charlotte will take on a dismal Kings defense on Tuesday. Over their last three outings, Sacramento has surrendered an NBA-worst 18.7 three-pointers made per game. Even if Knueppel doesn’t light it up from long distance, he can find other ways to score. The wing has notched 19+ points in each of his previous three appearances. Against a true bottom-feeder, buckets shouldn’t be too hard to come by.
Mitchell Robinson 9+ rebounds (-128)
Karl-Anthony Towns might be New York’s starter, but don’t sleep on Mitchell Robinson. When healthy, the center remains a player capable of taking over a game without putting up points. This season, the big man has recorded 5.4 points and 8.9 rebounds per game off the bench. Those numbers, combined with elite defense, make for a true two-way force. To boot, Robinson has a real claim as the NBA’s premier offensive rebounding threat.
The Knicks will hope to keep up their six-game winning streak at home tonight. New Orleans struggles in a number of different areas, including on the glass. The Pelicans are allowing 55.3 rebounds per game to opponents, tied for fourth-most in basketball. Robinson has snagged at least ten boards in four of his last five contests. That’s despite averaging just over 21 minutes per game during that time. Even in a limited role, this underrated role player should come through on tonight’s total.
Herb Jones 2+ three-pointers made (-103)
We’ll stay in the Big Apple, where New Orleans is looking to deliver a massive upset. Unlike some other rebuilding squads, the Pelicans do have a handful of talented pieces. That includes Herb Jones, one of the association’s better defenders. However, the Alabama alum’s contributions don’t always appear in the box score. Over 49 games, he’s tallied 9.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Lackluster shooting (38.3% FG) only makes those numbers look less impressive.
With all that being said, it’s not as if the Pels have a ton of supporting options around Zion Williamson. Jones, given his defensive prowess, is a near-lock for 25+ minutes tonight. The veteran has been more than willing to let it fly from deep. Since February 21st, he’s averaging 5.4 three-point attempts per game. Jones has drained two or more treys in eight of his 15 matchups during that time. In comparison, the Knicks are allowing the ninth-most three-pointers per game (13.8) and 12th-highest three-point percentage (35.8%) to opponents. At even money, Herb is capable of hitting a pair of long distance shots on Tuesday.
