2026 Indian Wells Open Pick, Prediction for Carlos Alcaraz vs. Cameron Norrie

The Indian Wells Open is on to the quarterfinals. One of the biggest matches of the day sees World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz face the World No. 29 Cameron Norrie. The match is expected to begin around 10:00. p.m. ET.

Alcaraz is -1960 on the moneyline on the DraftKings Sportsbook, while Norrie is +1280. This is my best bet to target for the Alcaraz vs. Norrie match.

Carlos Alcaraz vs. Cameron Norrie Preview

Cameron Norrie is ready to give Carlos Alcaraz another tough challenge. Norrie has been a solid player on tour over the past five years. However, he has never broken through to that top level. Outside of Wimbledon, Norrie has never made it past the fourth round of a Grand Slam. He has only made it to one ATP 1000 final. However, that came at Indian Wells in 2021, where Norrie won the biggest title of his career.

This is now the fourth-career trip to the quarterfinals at Indian Wells for Norrie. Between the title and the consistent quarterfinal appearances, there is a good argument to make that this has been Norrie’s favorite venue over the years. Despite never reaching that top tier of the sport, Norrie has also been a thorn in Carlos Alcaraz’s side over the years, and he’ll hope to give the World No. 1 trouble in this quarterfinal match, as well.

Carlos Alcaraz is unquestionably the best tennis player in the world. He completed the career Grand Slam by winning the Australian Open earlier this year. He followed that up by winning the Qatar Open for the first time. Those are the only two tournaments that Alcaraz has played in 2026, and he won both. He looks truly unstoppable at the moment. Alcaraz also loves Indian Wells and is a two-time former winner here, securing titles in 2023 and 2024. He is looking to keep his perfect 2026 season going and add a third Indian Wells title to his trophy cabinet.

Carlos Alcaraz vs. Cameron Norrie Pick, Best Bet

These two have combined to win three of the past five Indian Wells titles. That makes this one of the most anticipated quarterfinal matches of the tournament. Cameron Norrie and Carlos Alcaraz have also played some incredible matches over the past few years. Despite Alcaraz’s dominance over almost everyone in the sport outside of Jannik Sinner, Cameron Norrie has given him a tough time. Norrie has won three of his past five matches against Alcaraz. That includes their most recent meeting, in the Round of 32 at the 2025 Paris Masters.

My best bet for this match is on Cameron Norrie to cover the spread of +1.5 sets. The odds of +310 are too high for a player who has given Alcaraz so much trouble in the past. While Carlos Alcaraz has been brilliant all year, he has not been perfect so far at Indian Wells. Alcaraz dropped a set against Arthur Rinderknech in the Round of 32. He was then forced to a tiebreaker in the second set against Casper Ruud, although he won it to take that match in two sets. Cameron Norrie should give Carlos Alcaraz another tough test and take at least one set off him in this match.

Best Bet: Cameron Norrie +1.5 Sets (+310)
