When Invincible made its debut on Amazon Prime Video back in 2021, fans had to wait a grueling two-and-a-half years for the much-anticipated season 2. And even when the series returned, it took a midseason break that put the story on hold for an additional four months. Those days seem to be behind us, though, with season 3 coming out after just 10 months off and season 4 now slated to premiere 12 months later.
If you are waiting with bated breath to see what happens next in the violent, animated superhero TV show, here is everything you need to know before season 4 comes out:
When does Invincible season 4 come out?
Season 4 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, March 18. As was the case with the first three seasons, Invincible season 4 will drop its first three episodes all at once. The episodes are titled Making the World a Better Place, I’ll Give You the Grand Tour and Making the World a Better Place. They are expected to have a runtime around 50 minutes each.
The fourth season will consist of eight episodes total. After the three-episode premiere, one episode will come out per week until the finale on April 22.

What to expect in Invincible season 4
Earth is still reeling after the onslaught of massive battles in season 3, from PowerPlex’s rampage to the Invincible War and Conquest’s arrival. Rex Splode was one of the few major characters who didn’t make it out alive, while Eve went from the verge of death to as powerful as ever. Still, Mark and Eve didn’t even kill Conquest, who the GDA captured an kept in a coma. Angstrom Levy is alive, too, after rallying an army of evil Invincibles to wreak havoc – even if the alternate universe portal-maker is now a pawn for the mysterious Technicians. To make matters worse, Damien Darkblood is also plotting something in Hell.
The Viltrum Empire is preparing to invade Earth, as well, with solo Viltrumites already causing more than enough damage on their own. Mark, Eve and Oliver will need all the help they can get, which could come in the form of Allen the Alien and Omni-Man himself. After all, Nolan revealed last season that there are only about 50 true Viltrumites left, so raising a force to fight them may not be impossible after all. The Guardians of the Globe, Battle Beast and another rebel Viltrumite, Thaedus, are on their side of the war, too, not to mention to Coalition.
In the season 4 trailer, we see Allen and Nolan on Earth asking for Mark’s help. Eve also seems to be struggling with her powers, which we learned more about in the standalone Atom Eve prequel episode from 2023. Invasions and space battles won’t be in short supply, either. And on top of all of that, Mark will be donning his original yellow and blue costume again.
