UPDATE: Ausar Thompson (ankle) did not return Thursday vs. the Spurs.

Detroit Pistons forward Ausar Thompson suffered an apparent injury during Thursday’s game vs. the San Antonio Spurs and is in the locker room.

Thompson was injured on a drive to the basket when he seemed to slip and roll an ankle. The severity is unconfirmed as of this time and he is questionable to return tonight.

Thompson played only two minutes in Thursday’s game prior to his trip to the locker room. He did not record a counting stat while on the floor.

The 23-year-old forward averages 10.4 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for Detroit. He’s played a key role as a starter on the wing for one of the league’s best defenses, bringing his length and elite athleticism to impact the game as a lockdown defender.

The Pistons are 45-15 on the season heading into the remainder of tonight’s contest against the Spurs, good for first in the Eastern Conference.
