The Rockets are hosting the Warriors on Thursday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Houston is favored by 8.5 points and this game carries a total of 212.5 points.
Let’s dive into three of my favorite player prop bets for Thursday’s matchup between Houston and Golden State.

Brandin Podziemski Over 4.5 Assists (-105)
With Stephen Curry (knee) out, Podziemski has been a strong playmaker. Since the All-Star break, the guard is averaging 5.5 assists in a team-high 32.2 minutes per game. Podziesmki has dished out at least six assists in four of these six contests, and he is leading the Warriors with 11.7 potential assists per game during this stretch. In addition to Curry, Moses Moody (wrist) and Will Richard (ankle) are out tonight, so Podziemski is guaranteed a huge role.
This matchup isn’t easy, as the Rockets rank fifth in defensive rating this season, but 4.5 assists is way too low of a bar for Podziesmki. Betting up the ladder makes a ton of sense with him tonight.
Draymond Green Under 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-129)
Green should have far shorter odds for this under. The veteran is only averaging 1.5 made three-pointers on 3.7 attempts per game this season, resulting in a low 31% field goal rate from distance. Green hit two treys when he faced the Rockets back in November, but this shouldn’t happen again tonight.
Green has failed to hit multiple treys in 56% of his games this season and Houston’s fifth rated defense is great at defending outside shooters, allowing the fourth-fewest made three-pointers per game (12.2) on the fifth-lowest percentage this season (34.8%).
Kevin Durant Over 25.5 Points (-115)
Durant has been cooking. He’s scored 40, 32 and 30 points in his last three, respectively, while handling a 29.8% usage rate and shooting 54% from the field. Jae’Sean Tate (knee) missed all these games, and not only will he remain out tonight, but Alperen Sengun (illness), Amen Thompson (ankle) and Jabari Smith Jr. (ankle) are questionable.
The Rockets are right back in action again tomorrow, so at least one of these starters should sit tonight. All in all, Durant should garner a mammoth usage rate and light up his former team. Dealing with many key injuries, the Warriors rank 24th in defensive rating since the All-Star break.
