The newest WWE video game, WWE 2K26, is nearing its release, and this year’s edition features new and improved updates. WWE 2K26 features four different editions: standard, King of Kings, Attitude Era, and Monday Night War. The standard edition of the game comes out on March 13, but it can be played seven days early on March 6 with the three special editions.

Game Modes
CM Punk’s Best in The World Showcase
Since CM Punk is this year’s cover superstar, he is featured in his own showcase mode. In this mode, it mixes past matchups for The Best in the World while allowing players to take alternate paths to fantasy matches. CM Punk’s Best in the World Showcase begins with his iconic WrestleMania 41 match with Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. This mode features three different categories: Historical Matches, Fantasy Warfare, and “What If” matches.

The WWE Universe mode in 2K26 is more customizable than ever, thanks to the addition of the WWE Draft. There are also more in-depth promos available to choose from, with improved sliders for each match.
My Rise The Comeback
This year’s story in MyRise is about returning from a two-year layoff and attempting to climb back up the card. A new addition to this mode is RISE matches, which count towards your superstar’s path forward.
The Island
The Island is back in WWE 2K26 and has a ton of new additions to the mode this year. This year, three factions are battling, including the Order of Anarchy, the Order of Shadows, and the Order of Tradition. The Order of Anarchy is led by CM Punk, the Order of Shadows by Rhea Ripley, and the Order of Tradition by Cody Rhodes. At the beginning of the game, each player chose which faction to support. You can now battle in The Scrapyard while competing in the new Island Towers. There are also new paths for each superstar with additional rewards and boosts.
My Faction
You can build your ultimate lineup in this mode with current and former men’s and women’s stars. This is the first year that intergender lineups and matches are available in My Faction. Different options in My Faction include Faction Wars, World Tour, and Live Events.
My GM
In My GM, players have a ton of control over their roster, matchmaking, and premium live events. There are new seasonal challenges during the 50-week season, and there are new superstar perks as well. This year, there is a new level of difficulty, Immortal, which presents more challenges than ever.
