The Champion Course of PGA National (par 71, 7,223 yards, Bermuda greens) in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, will host the Cognizant Classic this week. PGA National has been the home of this event since 2007 and Joe Highsmith (-19) is the defending champion after winning by two strokes last year. This week’s field consists of 121 players and there will be a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.
Below, I have featured my two favorite bets for the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Hao-Tong Li to win (+4700)
These odds are far too long for Li in this weak field, regardless of this being his first time competing at PGA National. Before missing the cut at the WM Phoenix Open in his last start, Li had finished inside the top-12 in four of his previous five starts worldwide, including a T-8 at the American Express in January.
The Chinese professional is an elite ball-striker who ranks eighth in SGT2G this season. Additionally, he ranks 21st in par four performance. Li has never won on the PGA TOUR before, but he has won four times on the DP World Tour and he has a knack for thriving at windy courses – he has finished inside the top-five in two of his six starts at the Open Championship – so Li contending at PGA National is a possibility.
Daniel Berger for a top-20 finish including ties (+140)
Berger missed the cut at the Genesis Invitational last week, but a trip to PGA National in his home state of Florida is exactly what the doctor ordered for Berger to get back on track. The four-time PGA TOUR champion has nearly won at PGA National a few times, with three top-five finishes in nine starts at this venue. Berger also finished T-25th at PGA National last season and he opened that event with an 8-under 63, which is his career-low at the par 71.
Berger ranks fifth among this field in strokes gained per round at PGA National and he ranks fifth among this field in strokes gained per round at all Florida courses. Berger loves competing in the Sunshine State and before missing the cut last week, he had started his 2026 campaign with two top-20 finishes in his first four starts. Most notably, Berger carded a T-6 finish at the Sony Open played at Waialae CC, which like PGA National, is a course that features Bermuda greens, which is a type of putting surface Berger has a long history of succeeding on as a Florida native. When we compare this field’s last 50 rounds at venues with Bermuda greens, Berger ranks eighth in strokes gained per round.
