What happened to John Collins? Live injury updates for Clippers vs. Lakers on Friday 2/20/26

UPDATE: Collins is questionable to return. Bennedict Mathurin started the second half for Collins.

With 18.6 seconds left in the second quarter of Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, John Collins was replaced by Kawhi Leonard. Collins went up for an alley-oop but was undercut by Jaxson Hayes, causing him to fall hard and hit his head on the court.

Collins is in the locker room and, despite not shooting the free throws, will be available to return if he receives clearance.

Prior to exiting, Collins contributed 12 points, a rebound and a steal in 16 minutes of action.

If Collins is unable to return, Nicolas Batum would likely be the biggest beneficiary.
