Action star Glen Powell returns to the big screen this weekend in John Patton Ford’s anticipated crime thriller, How to Make a Killing.
The film — which also stars Margaret Qualley and Ed Harris — marks the long-awaited collaboration between the Hollywood leading man and indie powerhouse A24.
It hits theaters on Friday, February 20th.
Inspired by Robert Hamer’s 1949 British crime classic Kind Hearts and Coronets, the new film follows Becket Redfellow (Powell), a man disowned by his disgustingly wealthy family who sets out to reclaim his inheritance — by any means necessary.
Originally titled Huntington, How to Make a Killing continues Powell’s impressive run as one of the industry’s biggest box office draws.
Fresh off Edgar Wright’s The Running Man (2025), the Texas native has also starred in Top Gun: Maverick (2022), Anyone But You (2023), and Twisters (2024), cementing his status as a modern throwback to classic movie stars.
He also headlines the Hulu comedy series Chad Powers, with production on the second season beginning earlier this year.
John Patton Ford’s second feature film follows his Aubrey Plaza-led crime thriller Emily the Criminal (2022), and will also feature Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace and Bill Camp.
