We’ll have a big ten-game post-Superbowl slate on our hands tonight. Let’s jump right in!
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
LeBron James More Than 0.5 Points
Gimme pick, indeed! Don’t miss out on this one, James will be suiting up tonight and could be in for a big lift without Luka Doncic, who will be out for tonight’s game due to a hamstring issue that pulled him from the Lakers’ game vs. the 76ers early on Feb 5th. James is averaging 21.8 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 6.8 APG this season.
LaMelo Ball Less Than 19.5 Points
Despite the Hornets’ incredible run in their last ten games, Ball is only averaging 16.6 PPG while shooting 36.8% from the floor. And his matchup tonight won’t make this any easier.
Detroit is second in the NBA in defensive rating and also happens to be doing an excellent job of cutting off easy twos. The Pistons are allowing just 49.8 OPPG from two point shots, which is the third fewest in the league. We’ll see this come into play tonight as Ball will have to continue relying on his jumpers to get going. Ball’s jumpers are streaky; he doesn’t set his feet consistently when he shoots and is frequently shooting tough fades, turnarounds, and pullups off the dribble. His footwork happens to be elite, but he’s still taking difficult shots consistently. When he hits them it looks good, but when he’s cold, it can look ugly. The Pistons won’t make life easy for him tonight and I don’t anticipate this being the game where he breaks out of his recent slump.
Cade Cunningham More Than 24.5 Points
Cunningham’s season baseline is 25.1 PPG, so his default is already a hair above this. Charlotte has looked good recently, going 9-1 in their last ten games, while allowing just 103.6 OPPG, which means their defense is performing better than the Thunder’s right now. But we all know that’s not going to hold up long term.
Cade’s an MVP candidate and the Detroit offense is humming as smoothly as the Charlotte defense is. The Pistons hold a 119.4 OFFRTG in their last ten games and this team is cruising along atop the East. I’m trusting Cade’s season-long offense to supersede the recent defensive surge of the Hornets.

Pick6 is a peer-to-peer fantasy variant where you build a lineup (your “Pick Set”) of at least two players and select whether you believe each will outperform their listed stat projection. Create a Pick Set
Create a Pick Set by choosing 2+ players from the same sport and Pick Group (a set of picks available from a group of set competitions). For each player, simply select if you think they’ll have more or less than their listed stat projection. In each Pick Set, you cannot pick the same player twice and you must select players from at least two different teams.
Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
