Sunday presents a four-game NBA slate, and below are three of my favorite NBA player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for Sunday’s slate.
Top NBA player prop bets
Nikola Vucevic O 7.5 Rebounds (-120)
Vucevic made an immediate impact in his Celtics debut this past Friday vs. the Heat. In the 22-point come-from-behind win for Boston, Vucevic logged 27.5 minutes off the bench and finished with a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. The big man saw 17 rebound chances and he finished second for the Celtics in plus/minus in the victory at +11.
Starter or not, Vucevic should be in line for near 30 minutes Sunday vs. the Knicks, as New York tends to always have a natural center on the floor and Sam Hauser (back) is out for Boston, tightening the team’s rotation. Vucevic is a terrific rebounder, averaging 9.0 rebounds in 30.8 minutes per game this season, and clearing 7.5 rebounds should be an easy task for the veteran. When Vucevic last faced the Knicks in late November, he grabbed 14 rebounds in 32 minutes.
Brook Lopez O 9.5 Points (-126)
With Ivica Zubac traded to the Pacers, Lopez is the Clippers’ starting center and with the starting role, the veteran just posted 15 points in 36.2 minutes this past Friday night vs. the Kings. Lopez has scored at least 11 points in two of the past three starts he has made and he should see another huge workload Sunday vs. the Timberwolves’ large frontcourt.
Los Angeles needs Lopez’s size in this matchup and while facing Minnesota’s No. 10-rated defense isn’t ideal, Lopez should see enough volume to exceed 9.5 points. In the 13 games he has cracked the 20-minute mark this season, Lopez is averaging 10.8 PPG.
Scottie Barnes U 0.5 Made Three-Pointers (+113)
Barnes is a great player, but one area he struggles in is outside shooting. Barnes is only averaging 0.9 made three-pointers on 3.1 attempts per game this season, resulting in a low 30% three-point percentage. Barnes has failed to make a trey in seven of his past 10 and today’s matchup vs. the Pacers is by no means a spot for him to get active from deep.
Indiana is giving up the fewest made three-pointers per game (11.4) on the third-lowest three-point percentage this season (34.5%). Barnes is 1-for-6 from beyond the arc in his three matchups with the Pacers this season and he is a very attractive bet to make no three-pointers Sunday at these +113 odds.
