Bud Light rolls out the keg with Peyton Manning, Shane Gillis, and Post Malone in Super Bowl 60 ad

You knew Bud Light was going to roll out the bags and zeroes for this year’s Super Bowl 60 commercial, and they sure didn’t disappoint. Their stellar ensemble of Peyton Manning, Shane Gillis, and Post Malone hangs out together at a wedding, at which the natives are getting restless for the keg. Indeed, as soon as one of them catches a view of one of the treasured barrels being rolled out, we enter a jubilant, slow-motion, fever-dream of a stampede as the wedding attendees chase the barrel down the hill.

I Will Always Love You plays it dead-serious for maximum contrast. Whitney Houston’s ballad plus bodies tumbling is the joke, and it finally ends when they tap the keg and Manning coughs up dirt like he just survived a war.

Grading the Bud Light Peyton Manning & co. Super Bowl 60 ad

Grade: B-—big, dumb, clear, and watchable, but it’s more slapstick stampede than a truly iconic Super Bowl swing.
