NFL Best Bet: Top Sam Darnold prop bet for Super Bowl LX Patriots vs. Seahawks

The Patriots and Seahawks meet in Super Bowl LX on Sunday night. This could be Sam Darnold’s moment; years of struggles, seeing ghosts, and changing teams have led to it. All he needs is one more great performance against New England, and Darnold could deliver a Super Bowl for Seattle. What does he have in store for us?

Seattle is favored by 4.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook, and this game total is set at 45.5 points.

Let’s dive into my top Sam Darnold prop bet to consider for Super Bowl Sunday.

Best Sam Darnold Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Sam Darnold 22+ Completions (+124)

This is a bet centered on the game being close, and I’ll tell you why.

The Seahawks played in ten one-score games this season. Darnold averaged 20.9 completed passes in those games and cleared 22+ completions in five of them.

When Seattle can’t outright dominate on the ground, it turns to the quick passing game as an extension of the run. And these Patriots have one heck of a rush defense. Plus, Zach Charbonnet’s absence further hampers Seattle’s rush defense. There will be times when the ground game stalls out, and offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak will need to put the ball in his quarterback’s hands.

Just look at Darnold’s passing chart against the Rams. It’s a testament to the Seahawks’ ability to spread the ball around.

Darnold completed 18 passes within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, including a series of screen passes. They’re going to have to get creative against a strong secondary that boasts lockdown corner Christian Gonzalez. And that means a ton of completions.

It’s possible that the Seahawks punch the Patriots in the mouth early and control the game the rest of the way. But if the game is close, Darnold will rack up completions. Ditto for a scenario in which the Seahawks are trailing for large chunks of the game. Seattle’s new franchise quarterback is going to play pepper all over the field in an effort to keep New England’s defense on its back foot.
