Derrick White O 21.5 Points + Assists (-116)
After struggling with his shot for a stretch, White found his rhythm this past Sunday vs. the Bucks. The guard shot 6-of-14 from the field and 3-of-7 on three-pointers en route to 17 points. White also led the Celtics with eight assists in the win. The veteran is now averaging a career-high 17.2 points to go along with 5.4 assists per game this season. With Jayson Tatum (Achilles) on the shelf, White is handling a career-high 23.2% usage rate. Furthermore, he is handling a 22.4% assist rate and is averaging 9.3 potential assists per game.
The Mavericks rank 10th in defensive rating this season, but they are still a plus matchup, as Dallas ranks fifth in pace. White should deliver a strong stat line in this spot and Boston being a 6.5-point favorite bodes well for the guard. In wins this season, White is averaging 18.4 points and 6.0 assists per game.
Naji Marshall O 5.5 Rebounds (-120)
With Anthony Davis (out, hand) sidelined for the last 10, Marshall has taken on a large role. The forward is averaging 31.6 minutes per game over this time and with the big workload, Marshall is averaging 6.4 rebounds per game. The 28-year-old is averaging 10.1 rebound chances per game and Marshall has finished with at least six rebounds in six of these 10 tilts.
While the Celtics are giving up the seventh-fewest rebounds per game this season (42.2), this 5.5-rebound line is just too depressed for Marshall’s current role.
Payton Pritchard U 15.5 Points (-107)
While playing up in pace vs. the Mavericks is ideal for Pritchard, Jaylen Brown and White both being active for this game isn’t optimal for Pritchard as a scorer. Most of the guard’s best performances this season have come with either Brown or White inactive, and in the 42 games these three have been played together this season, Pritchard is averaging 14.9 PPG, which is a notable drop from his 16.8 average for the season.
With the Celtics’ top trio active this past Sunday vs. the Bucks, Pritchard only scored seven points and he has fallen short of 15.5 points in six of the last 10 that all three of Pritchard, Brown and White have been active for.
