After a tiny four game slate last night, we’re back with a big 10 game one tonight as we inch closer to the All Star Weekend. Detroit still holds the first seed in the East, ahead of the Knicks, Celtics, and Raptors in that order. In the West, OKC holds the first seed, with a similar 5.5 game lead over the second seed, the Spurs. The Nuggets and Rockets fall closely behind.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the action this evening. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Basketball!
This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Tyrese Maxey More than 29.5 Points
Maxey’s taken serious strides as a volume scorer this season. He’s at 29.2 PPG while leading the league in minutes with 39 MPG. He’s not shy about letting it fly, either. The Franchise is attempting 21.8 FGA and throwing up 8.9 3PA per game.
He’s been up and down in the scoring department lately, fluctuating as low as 6 points in the blowout loss against the Hornets to as high as 40 points in a narrow victory against the Kings. Maxey will go up against a stingy Warriors defense that’s only allowing 114.8 points per 48 minutes, but due to the presumed absence of Joel Embiid tonight due to this being the second end of a back to back set, as well as Paul George’s 25 game suspension, I’m expecting Maxey to get the absolute green light tonight – not that he didn’t already.
Jamal Murray More Than 21.5 Points
The Pistons possess the league’s second highest rated defense, allowing just 108.3 points per 100 possessions. They’ve been incredible this season and have been especially pesky against opponent ball handlers; the Pistons are holding PGs to 21.9 points per 48 minutes on 41.9% shooting from the field.
Even though Murray’s season average sits well above tonight’s line, he’s coming off two quiet games in which he scored 12 and 20 points respectively. If we factor in Jokic’s return coinciding with his points coming back down, then it’s tough to expect Murray to exceed 21.5 tonight given his recent form.
Karl-Anthony Towns More Than 20.5 Points
Towns is scoring 19.8 PPG this season, and is averaging a measly 12 PPG over his last five games. But tonight’s a good opportunity for the star big man to get back on track.
The Wizards are allowing 122.5 OPPG this season, which is one of the highest in the league. They’re also allowing centers 24.2 PPG per 48 minutes on 56.5% shooting from the field. If there’s any matchup in which we could expect a nice bounce-back game from Towns, who put up a monstrous 24.4 PPG alongside 12.8 RPG just last season on 52.6% shooting, it’s this one.

Enter an Amount
Once you finalize your Pick Set, choose your entry fee amount. Your entries will be automatically distributed into available contests, subject to your confirmation.
Sweat Your Picks
When the games go live, use the My Picks tab to follow your picks in real time to track how your players are performing against their projections and how they stack up against other users.
Compete for Prizes
Make enough correct picks and win a share of the contests’ guaranteed prizes. Any prizes won will be credited to your DraftKings account after contests are finalized.
