DraftKings will be running it’s popular King of the Court promo on tonight’s 10-game NBA slate. Users who opt have the chance to split $1 million in bonus bets by placing a player prop bet on the DraftKings Sportsbook on the player who ultimately leads that night in total points, rebounds and assists.
Seems simple enough, right? Why wouldn’t you just place a bet and use your token on the highest usage option on that slate and call it a day? Well, the bonus bet split is smaller depending on how popular the player is with the betting public, so there could be some value in taking a contrarian approach. That means no Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, or Luka Doncic, or Nikola Jokic picks in this article.
With that in mind, here are a couple under the radar King of the Court picks for Tuesday night’s basketball action.
King of the Court Value Picks
Editor’s Note: Per ESPN, C Nikola Vucevic has been traded to the Celtics.
Nikola Vucevic, Chicago Bulls
While I said I wasn’t allowed to pick Nikola Jokic for King of the Court, that doesn’t mean I have to swear off all Nikolas. Vucevic has been decent in 2025-26, though some of the cracks might be starting to show for the 15-year NBA veteran. To wit, Vucevic isn’t averaging a double-double for the first time since all the way back in 2017-18 with the Magic. Still, it’s not like the big man isn’t capable of flashy moments of statistical success. Vucevic registered 47 PRA as recently as January 14, thanks primarily to dropping 35 points on the lowly Jazz. Vucevic also managed a 20-point, 16-rebound performance a month ago against the Pistons. With Josh Giddey (hamstring) and his 25.8% usage rate already ruled out on Tuesday, the Bulls’ top scoring options will be Vucevic and Coby White. If Vucevic can have an efficient shooting night — particularly from deep — the opportunity for some huge counting stats are on the table. It certainly helps that Chicago will be facing the reeling Bucks, who own a 121.1 defensive rating over their last eight matchups. Woof.
Associated Prop Bet: Nikola Vucevic 20+ Points (+217)
Lauri Markkanen, Utah Jazz
You can never be completely sure how the Jazz are going to treat any game this late into the regular season, but it does appear that Lauri Markkanen is back to full-strength after recently missing seven straight contests due to injury. In fact, Markkanen saw 38.6 minutes of action in Sunday’s loss to the Raptors, finishing with 27 points, 11 rebounds and a pair of assists. Now just imagine how good that PRA total could have been if Markkanen didn’t shoot just 9-for-23 (39.1%) from the field. Markkanen is truly one of the most gifted scorers in the NBA, and his usage should be humongous on Tuesday evening with Keyonte George (ankle) and Jusuf Nurkic (rest) already ruled out — those are Utah’s two highest-usage starters beyond Markkanen himself. This tilt with Indiana should be also be incredibly uptempo, as both the Pacers and the Jazz rank inside the league’s top 10 in pace. It’s the perfect environment for some crooked counting stats.
Associated Prop Bet: Lauri Markkanen Over 26.5 Points (-118)
