NBA Best Bets: Thunder vs. Nuggets Best Prop Bets for Sunday 2/1/26

The NBA closes out Sunday Night with a fantastic Western Conference matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The two teams are top title contenders, and each team brings some nice player prop bets to consider into this matchup.

Neither team will be at 100% for this matchup, since there’s an extended injury report on both sides. The Thunder will be without Jalen Williams, Ajay Mitchell and Alex Caruso, and the Nuggets will be without Aaron Gordon and Cameron Johnson, while Christian Braun is doubtful. Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic are both probable, after Jokic returned on Friday after a 16-game absence due to a left knee bone bruise. His minutes are limited, but he’s back on the floor.

The Thunder are still atop the Western Conference with a five-game lead over the Nuggets, who are currently No. 2. The Nuggets have won four of their last five, though, while the Thunder are scuffling a little bit, having dropped three of their last four. Let’s take a look at the rotation for both the Nuggets and the Thunder and identify my top three player prop bets for Sunday night. These picks can be used as standalone plays or combined in a Same Game Parlay (SGP), as indicated at the bottom of the post.

The Nuggets are 6.5-point home underdogs with the point total at 224.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. This will be the first matchup between these teams this season, but they’ll meet three more times after this before the regular season comes to a close.

Thunder vs. Nuggets Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander O34.5 Points + Rebounds (-119)

The Thunder have had to rely heavily on SGA with Jalen Williams out, and the reigning MVP continues to turn in excellent numbers even though the team hasn’t been winning as much. He has come up just short of his points prop in his last few games, but his rebounding has been trending up to keep this prop as a strong play.

SGA has gone over this prop line in four of his last five games, including each of his last two against the Timberwolves and the Pelicans. He is averaging 36.4 points and rebounds per game on the season, and has gone over this prop line in seven of his last 11 matchups, dating back to early January.

While he hasn’t faced them this year, he went over this prop line in two of his four games against the Nuggets in the 2024-25 regular season, including his 40-point game against them in March. He went over this prop line in five of their seven playoff games as well.

In a spotlight game, Gilgeous-Alexander will be looking to prove the Thunder are not trending down after their recent losses. Look for him to step up with a high-usage game and a big point total. Adding the rebounds into this combo is a safety feature as well.

Jamal Murray O6.5 Assists (+102)

As the Nuggets get healthier, Murray’s assists should climb back to their more normal level since he won’t have to carry quite as much of the scoring load himself. He’s averaging 7.4 assists per game this season overall and 8.6 assists in his 12 games in 2026.

In Jokic’s return on Friday, Murray had nine helpers, and he should be able to get at least seven assists in this game as Jokic continues to ramp up into his role as primary creator.

Murray is running the offense well, and he should continue to get enough opportunities in this contest to go over this assist prop once again. The fact that he only has to get to seven to have a plus money prop makes this seem like a great value play.

Isaiah Hartenstein O16.5 Points + Rebounds (-108)

Jokic isn’t the only center who has recently returned to the rotation for his team, since Hartenstein played on Friday for the first time in over a month. He missed 16 games due to a right soleus strain, and he played 18 minutes in his return. Even against the Timberwolves, Hartenstein was productive with 11 points and five rebounds in that limited role.

He should be ready to ramp up a bit after that successful return, and his strong defense will be key against Jokic. Before the injury, Hartenstein had gone over this prop line in six of his last seven games. He is averaging 11.1 points and 10.2 rebounds per game overall this season, so it’s really just a question of how much work he’s ready for on Sunday.

Since he and Jokic will both be working their way back, I think I-Hart will be able to play 20+ minutes and get over this prop. His return is key for the Thunder’s frontcourt rotation, and he’s not a player to sleep on in this matchup.

Bonus Parlay Pick: Peyton Watson O14.5 points (-114)

If you’re building an SGP (Same Game Parlay) from this great Western Conference contest between the Thunder and Nuggets, adding in the over on Watson’s points boosts the odds to a solid +950.

Watson helped carry the load while Jokic was out, and with Gordon and Johnson sidelined, he should still be lined up for plenty of minutes, even if his usage does drop a little bit. Watson has scored at least 15 points to go over this prop line in 14 of his last 16 games and he had 21 points alongside Jokic in his return on Friday. After his breakout month, I think Watson will stay involved enough in the near term to bring very nice value in this scoring prop Sunday night.
