Fantasy F1 makes its 2024 European debut in Round 7. This week the DFS F1 action will be in Ferrari’s backyard at Imola for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. DraftKings is offering $20K to the winner of the featured DFS Formula 1 contest.

1. Lando Norris ($10,400) — There was a free pit stop for Norris in the Miami Grand Prix, but that’s not the story. McLaren unveiled their upgrade at South Beach and Norris won the race legtily. Norris now has pace and could challenge Red Bull every round.
2. Max Verstappen ($16,600) — The mighty Max Verstappen was defeated straight-up. That means Mad Max marks his return at Imola. Red Bull doesn’t take kindly to losing. They’ve likely spent the last two weeks working around the clock to build the fastest Formula 1 car known to man.
3. Charles Leclerc ($10,000) — McLaren leaped ahead of Ferrari in the Miami Grand Prix with their major upgrade package. Ferrari could turn the tables. The Italian team will unveil their upgrade package in the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
4. Carlos Sainz Jr ($9,200) — After winning the Australian Grand Prix, Sainz slid down the grid and fell off the podium. The Ferrari upgrades should help, but the podium is crowded. McLaren has pace and Red Bull is still perched at the top.
5. Sergio Perez ($10,200) — The second-best driver in Formula 1 is Mr. Irrelevant in DFS F1. That happens to a driver that has to compete with one of the best ever. Perez helps Red Bull as the Constructor’s Pick, but he’s only been an optimal Fantasy Formula 1 pick once in 2024.

6. Oscar Piastri ($8,200) — Pending the Ferrari upgrades, McLaren is the second-fastest team on the grid. Piastri’s price is a discount if he receives the same McLaren upgrades that led to Lando Norris’ Miami Grand Prix win.
7. Fernando Alonso ($7,200) — A key element to DFS F1 is the teammate bonus. The numbers are simple. Alonso is averaging a finish of 7.3 and Lance Stroll is averaging a finish of 13.2. That’s a significant gap.
8. Lewis Hamilton ($7,400) — Mercedes is far behind Red Bull, McLaren and Ferarri. That doesn’t matter. At Hamilton’s price, the only relevant competition is between him and his teammate. Can Hamilton finish better than George Russell ($8,000)? Hamilton finished ahead of Russell in the Miami Grand Prix and was an optimal Fantasy F1 pick.
9. Esteban Ocon ($4,200) — Alpine finally scored a point. This hardly seems like an appealing fantasy Formula 1 pick, but extreme value picks are customary in DraftKings DFS F1. Ocon routinely finishes better than his teammate Pierre Gasly ($3,800). Ocon’s top-10 in the Miami Grand Prix earned him a place in the optimal lineup for the third time in 2024.
10. Guanyu Zhou ($3,600) — Valtteri Bottas ($3,200) is having a terrible season. Zhou isn’t tearing up the track for Kick Sauber, but he’s beating his teammate. This has led to back-to-back DFS F1 optimal lineup finishes for Zhou on DraftKings.
