The Miami Heat are headed to the desert to take on the Phoenix Suns in one of the games that won’t be impacted by snowstorms. Both teams are missing a few key contributors, but the remaining players provide a few strong player prop bets to build a betting card on Sunday night. You can utilize these picks as stand-alone plays or group them in a Same Game Parlay (SGP), as indicated at the bottom of the post.
The Heat are playing for the second day in a row after winning 147-116 in Utah on Saturday. They’re 4-6 in their last 10, sitting eighth in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Suns are the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference. They are 6-3 in the last nine but Devin Booker suffered an ankle injury on Friday that will likely keep him out at least a week.
Booker’s absence highlights the injury report for the Suns with Jalen Green (hamstring) questionable. On the other side, Davion Mitchell is doubtful, Norman Powell is questionable, and Andrew Wiggins is probable, while Tyler Herro and Kel’el Ware are still out.
The Suns are 5.5-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the point total at 225.5.
Let’s dive into this fun contest and spotlight my top player prop bets to back this Sunday night.
Heat vs. Suns Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Bam Adebayo 20+ points (+118)
Without Herro, Adebayo has been cooking for the Heat. He has gone over this prop line in six of his last seven games, with his only down game against the Warriors, when he shot 1-for-13 from the field. He bounced back from that with 25 points against the Kings, 32 points against the Trail Blazers and 26 points against the Jazz in his last three games. The absence of Ware has given him even more work without a clear backup, and he’s taken advantage of all the extra time.
Adebayo is averaging 17.8 points per game this season, but he’s been doing a lot more work with Herro out and Powell hobbled. If Powell is out or continues to be limited, Adebayo should be the go-to option against the Suns, who have been beatable down low this season.
Grayson Allen over 3.5 3PM (-118)
Allen will be one of the key players who will need to step up without Booker, so player prop bets have all been boosted as a result. However, there is still some good value on his 3PM at over 3.5. Allen went 1-for-5 on three-pointers on Friday, but before that, he had made at least four three-pointers in six straight games, averaging 4.5 3PM per contest.
When Booker missed a game against the Pistons, Allen took 20 three-point attempts, going 7-for-20 and piling up 33 points in 31 minutes.
As I highlighted in my NBA DFS stacks, the Heat play the fastest pace in the NBA and have given up a ton of points lately, so Allen should be able to hit at least four three’s on Sunday.
Pelle Larsson 20+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (+126)
Larsson is only averaging 15.8 PRA, but without Davion Mitchell and with Norman Powell ailing, Larsson has been stepping up in his last few contests. Larsson had 20 points on Saturday night and also chipped in two boards and three assists in 25 minutes. He was probable with a finger injury but played through the issue, and he does not have an injury designation at all on Sunday.
He has gone over this prop line in three of his last five games, and with more work available again on Sunday, look for the 24-year-old from Sweden to have another big game. He could also get a boost as he comes back to where he played his college ball at Arizona before the Rockets drafted him in the second round in 2024.
Dillon Brooks over 3.5 rebounds (-135)
If you’re building an SGP (Same Game Parlay) for this Sunday matchup, the extra pace should help Brooks get over his rebound prop line as well. If you add in this pick to the other props highlighted in this post, it takes your SGP to a spicy +1300. If you want to mix in picks from other games, you can also build a strong SGPx with these core plays.
Brooks is averaging 3.6 rebounds per game on the season, but he has gone over this prop line in four straight games and nine of his last 11. With the extra possessions in this matchup, Brooks should be able to snag at least four boards Sunday night.
