BREAK IT DOWN:
(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Patriots D/ST Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+400): In no way do I want to undersell a Patriots’ defense that has looked amazing through the first two rounds of the playoffs. Heck, New England ranked just outside the top 10 of defensive EPA per play during the regular season, too. Still, the public’s overwhelming eagerness to back a D/ST to score a touchdown on Sunday has far more to do with said defense’s opponent. Jarrett Stidham will make his first start since 2023 in the AFC Championship Game, as Bo Nix (ankle) was injured late in the Broncos’ Divisional Round victory over the Bills. The former fourth-round pick has played sparingly throughout his career and owns a 4.1% interception rate on his 197 pass attempts. For some context, the only three QBs with a higher rate in 2025 were J.J. McCarthy, Shedeur Sanders and Brady Cook. Yikes.
Seahawks D/ST Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+425): Another D/ST? What a time to be alive. Unlike the aforementioned Patriots defense, the Seahawks will be in tough against MVP favorite Matthew Stafford in the NFC Championship Game. So why is the public clamoring for an anytime touchdown from this unit? In this case, it has more to do with special team — specifically Rashid Shaheed. Not only did Shaheed take back the opening kickoff of Seattle’s Divisional Round win over San Francisco for a score, but he also returned a punt for a key touchdown in the Seahawks’ comeback victory over these same Rams in Week 16. Not including the postseason, Shaheed has four career punt of kickoff return TDs, and he’s a huge reason why Seattle finished the regular season ranked second in special teams DVOA.
Rhamondre Stevenson Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+120): Stevenson has yet to find the end zone in the playoffs, yet it’s clear from both his touches and his snap share that the Patriots consider the veteran their RB1, despite the big-play ability of rookie TreVeyon Henderson. To wit, Stevenson has logged at least a 60% snap rate in both of New England’s postseason wins, out-touching Henderson 33-to-23 in the process. During the regular season, Stevenson handled a majority of the Patriots’ rushing attempts inside the opponent’s five-yard line, which is a huge reason why the 27-year-old matched a career-high with seven rushing touchdowns. Yes, Henderson did lead the team in total touchdowns (10), yet he managed to score half of those in the three-week span that Stevenson missed due to injury. That’s not a coincidence, people.
2-Leg Parlay
Taking the most-bet player props individually is always an option, but why not roll them into a parlay and get in on all the action at once? It’s a fun way to tie everything together, feel free to tag along. Let’s see how profitable a parlay with both D/STs to score is.
