The co-main event of UFC 324 between Undisputed Women’s Bantamweight Champion Kayla Harrison and former title holder Amanda Nunes is being postponed. According to The Eagle Tribune and MMA Fighting, Harrison underwent surgery to repair herniated disks in her neck. UFC 324 is scheduled to take place on January 24 and is the promotion’s debut on Paramount+.

Harrison won the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title against Julianna Pena at UFC 316 in June 2025. Since joining the UFC in 2024, Harrison has gone 3-0 in the promotion. Harrison is a former Olympic Gold Medalist and is highly regarded as one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time.

After 31 months away from the sport, former two-division champion Amanda Nunes was expected to make her long-awaited return to the Octagon. Nunes and Harrison were once teammates at American Top Team. Nunes last fight came at UFC 289 against Irene Aldana in June 2023. The fight being postponed is still awaiting an official announcement from the UFC.
