There are 14 NBA teams scheduled to take the court Wednesday, featuring plenty of star power and intriguing matchups even amid some notable injury developments. Before you place any bets, here is one NBA parlay you can tail as the games tip off.
Using DraftKings’ NBA Consistency Sheets, I built out a parlay of player props for Wednesday night’s action. The tool features players’ averages, win percentages, home-road splits and a brand-new matchup grade, all of which are adjustable for different sample sizes and prop markets. Balancing each of those factors against each other, here’s a breakdown of all three legs featuring insights from the sheet:
Cavaliers G Donovan Mitchell
Pick: Donovan Mitchell O 27.5 points (-123)
Donovan Mitchell, who is averaging 29.5 points per game this season, has gone over 27.5 points in 70% of his appearances this season. While he only scored 21 against the Jazz on Monday, he cleared Wednesday’s line in each of his previous five outings.
The 76ers present Mitchell with an A- season matchup grade, per DraftKings. In Mitchell’s nine games against A- matchups or easier, he has scored 28-plus points in six of them. He also put up 46 the last time he faced Philadelphia.
Pelicans F Saddiq Bey
Pick: Saddiq Bey O 13.5 points (-127)
So far this season, Saddiq Bey is averaging 15.1 points per game. While he has cleared 13.5 points in 60% of his games, that’s a slightly misleading overall number. Bey started off the year scoring 14-plus points in just four of 15 games, only to go on a 17-for-20 tear since November 22. The small forward has hit the over in each of his last four games, too.
The Nets will present Bey with an A season matchup grade on Wednesday. The last time Bey faced Brooklyn, he dropped 18 points on the road on December 6.
Clippers G Kris Dunn
Pick: Kris Dunn U 15.5 points + rebounds + assists (-101)
Kris Dunn has a middling B- matchup on his hands Wednesday with the Clippers hosting the Wizards. Los Angeles and Washington haven’t gone head-to-head yet this season, but Dunn has gone under 15.5 combined points, rebounds and assists in 60% of his games against B- matchups or harder.
On the whole this year, Dunn is averaging 13.9 PRA. He has failed to clear Wednesday’s line in 59% of his games, finishing with just two PRA in 21 minutes on Monday. Dunn has gone under in each of his last four games, most recently going over 15.5 PRA on January 5 against an A+ matchup when James Harden was out. Harden is healthy now, so Dunn staying cold feels like a good bet.
