Two of the NFL’s flagship franchises are set to battle on Sunday night. It’s been a tumultuous title defense for the Eagles (11-6). Still, Philadelphia’s championship pedigree makes them a team to fear in the NFC. On the flip side, the 49ers (12-5) are back in the postseason following a one-year hiatus. Kyle Shanahan’s crew is eager to make it back to the Super Bowl.

The Eagles enter this contest as six-point favorites (-112) over the 49ers on DraftKings Sportsbook, with the over/under set at 44.5 points. Philadelphia is favored at -270 on the moneyline.
Betting Splits
Unlike some other matchups this weekend, Niners-Eagles is fairly split. 55% of all bets are going towards the defending champs, while 55% of the handle sides with the visitors. San Francisco has looked like the better team for most of the season, forced into the wildcard spot due to the loaded NFC West. However, Philly’s experience in big games makes the team difficult to bet against.
There’s a bit more variation when it comes to the spread, which favors the Eagles by six points. 65% of all bets are backing the 49ers to cover, while 57% of the handle anticipating a dominant Philly win. That means most of the hefty wagers coming in on this matchup lie in favor of the home team. Keep in mind, the Birds rested most of their starters in Week 18. In comparison, the 49ers aren’t as well-rested following their Saturday defeat against Seattle.
The public is all-in on a potential slugfest, with 72% of the handle expecting less than 45 total points. It’s a similar story when it comes to number of bets at 56%. As the away team, San Francisco is 6-2-1 against the spread when covering the over. In comparison, Philly has a 5-3 ATS record at home on the under.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Christian McCaffrey tops Sunday’s player prop list. The two-time All-Pro put together another remarkable season. Through 17 games, he gained 1,202 rushing yards, 924 receiving yards and 17 total touchdowns. The veteran failed to reach the end zone only five times this year. That’s a positive sign going into this matchup, even against a terrific Eagles run defense.
The other four most popular bets are all backing the Birds. Leading the way is Jalen Hurts, one of the NFL’s best dual-threat quarterbacks. Philadelphia’s signal caller has tallied eight touchdowns this season, many of which came via the ‘tush push’. That would be a terrific total for most QBs, but it’s a career-low for the two-time Pro Bowler. Hurts has scored at least ten times with his legs since becoming a full-time starter in 2021.
If the 49ers force Philly to throw the ball, A.J. Brown should make his presence felt. It’s been an inconsistent season to say the least for the wide receiver. Still, he’s managed to haul in seven touchdown grabs over 15 games played. Another pass catcher to monitor is Dallas Goedert. The veteran remains one of football’s top tight ends, and he was better than ever in 2025. Through 15 outings, the 30-year-old recorded 60 receptions for 591 yards and a team-leading 11 TDs.
Sitting at fourth on the list is none other than Saquon Barkley. Following his historic 2024 season, the All-Pro’s production has declined. Still, Barkley remains one of the most dangerous players in all of football. Through 16 games, he’s gained 1,140 rushing yards, 273 receiving yards and nine total touchdowns. The eighth-year pro should be the focal point of Philadelphia’s game plan on offense. As a result, expect plenty of touches whenever the Eagles get into the red zone.
