Prediction & Best Bets

Projected final score: Indiana 38, Alabama 30

Moneyline: Indiana

Spread: Indiana -7

Total: Over 47.5

Alabama has become increasingly one-dimensional as the season has progressed, as its ground production continues to slip. The Crimson Tide was limited to 28 rushing yards on 25 rushing attempts in its first-round win against Oklahoma. The outlook doesn’t appear much better against Indiana, which ranks third in opponents’ rushing yards allowed and 12th in yards per carry.

With wet weather conditions in mind, I am backing the team with the better running game. No team has been fully capable of neutralizing Indiana’s ground attack, and Alabama has given up 20+ points in eight of its 14 games. Expect both offenses to break free for some points in this game, but for Indiana to have more gas in the tank.
