The NBA has nine games on the scoreboard for the second straight day coming out of Christmas, and before the evening’s eight-game main slate, there’s a spicy appetizer lined up as a matinee matchup in Sacramento. The Sacramento Kings welcome the Dallas Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. ET before the rest of the action gets started at 7:00 p.m. ET. Let’s see if we can get ahead of the rest of the slate and find some player prop bets from this Western Conference matchup to boost our bankroll.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Mavericks are 3.5-point road favorites, while the game total is set at 232.5. This will be the first of the three matchups between these teams this season and will be showcased on NBA TV.
The Mavs lost by 10 points to the Warriors on Christmas Day and have dropped three of four to sink to 12-20 on the season. The Kings are even worse at 7-23 on the season after losing six of their last seven games. They did upset the Rockets in overtime on Sunday, but lost to the Pistons on Tuesday.
As these two teams look to close out 2025 on a high note and make progress in 2026, let’s dig up the top player prop bets for this Saturday contest:
Mavericks at Kings Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
DeMar DeRozan over 21.5 points (-118)
The Kings will be especially short-handed on Saturday night, so there are a couple of players who have good chances to out-produce their season averages, including DeRozan, who has been stepping up in their last four games with Zach LaVine (ankle) out and will now have even more work with Keegan Murray (calf) also out. This will be Murray’s first absence with this injury.
Without LaVine, DeRozan has scored 33 points, 15 points, 27 points and 37 points, going over this points scored prop in three of four contests. He has played at least 35 minutes in each of those five games and taken at least 12 shots in each contest.
In his 14 home games this year, DeRozan is averaging 19.4 points, and with more work coming his way with so many injuries, he should be able to get at least 23 points in Saturday’s matinee contest.
DeRozan should be rested and ready to go after not playing for three days, so even if the veteran can’t keep up this workload long-term, he should be good to produce a good total on Saturday.
Maxime Raynaud over 23.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
Raynaud has stepped up for the Kings with Domantas Sabonis (knee) also out in addition to all the injuries discussed above. The second-round pick from France has been a pleasant surprise since taking on a larger role since Dec. 1.
In his nine games this month, Raynaud has gone over this prop line in six games (67%) and put up 15.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists for an average of 26 PRA (points, rebounds and assists).
On Tuesday, he came in with only 18 PRA against the Pistons, but he exceeded this level with at least 24 PRA in five of his previous six games, including a high point of 42 PRA against the Trail Blazers.
Since the Mavs will likely be without Anthony Davis (groin) down low, Raynaud should find enough space to bounce back and go over this PRA total on Saturday.
Klay Thompson under 4.5 Rebounds + Assists (-121)
Thompson was able to return from a knee issue and play 26 minutes against his former team on Christmas Day. He only went 3-for-8 from the field and finished with seven points, two rebounds and two assists. In this prop, we’ll focus on his non-scoring numbers, where there’s good value at -121.
Thompson is only averaging 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists on the season, and he has come in under this prop in five of his last six games and in 13 of his last 16.
Even though he typically plays well in Sacramento, Thompson hasn’t seemed quite right most of the season, and even if he gets his shot going, the assists and rebounds will likely come from other sources in the Mavs’ rotation.

Christie should pick up more work with Davis unlikely to play and Brandon Williams (calf) also listed as doubtful. Christie had 13 points in 34 minutes on Christmas and has scored at least 10 points in five of his last eight games. In 16 games without Davis this season, Christie is averaging 15.0 points per game.
