What happened to Javonte Williams? Live injury updates for Cowboys vs. Commanders on Thursday 12/25/25

UPDATE: After being injured in the second quarter, Williams didn’t return to action in today’s game.

During the second quarter of today’s Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders Christmas matchup, Cowboys RB Javonte Williams left the game due to a shoulder injury. Williams is questionable to return for today’s game against the Commanders.

Williams had 13 carries for 54 yards and a touchdown against Washington before exiting the game. This season, Williams has been excellent, rushing for 1,147 yards and 10 touchdowns. Williams is sixth in rushing yards and seventh in rushing touchdowns.

Up until this point, Williams has played in every game this season for the Cowboys but was limited this past week due to a neck injury.
