Since the Rams’ bye in Week 8, Williams has been irrelevant in the passing game. During this six-game stretch, the back has only been targeted nine times and he has finished with just one reception in four of these six games. Usage-wise, Williams is running a route on 51% of his team’s dropbacks, but he has only seen a target on 7% of those routes.
While there will be plenty of targets up for grabs with Davante Adams (hamstring/knee) unlikely to play, that doesn’t mean Williams will be a beneficiary, as the Rams’ offense is targeting running backs at the lowest rate in the NFL this season (10%).
The Seahawks are allowing the most catches to running backs this season (81), but even when these two NFC West rivals met in Week 11, Williams only hauled in one of his two targets. The back seeing enough volume to rack up multiple receptions simply feels unlikely and at this appealing +119 price, this under is a terrific bet.
