Kenneth Gainwell best prop bets for Steelers vs. Dolphins on Monday Night Football Week 15

The Pittsburgh Steelers will face off with the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football to close down the Week 15 NFL slate.

Kenneth Gainwell and company will be looking to add to their 7-6 record, which currently slots them at the top spot in the AFC North. There have been some struggles for the Steelers this year, but their goals remain in play, and this is a great chance to pick up a win against the 6-7 Dolphins. Gainwell may especially come into play in this matchup with Jaylen Warren surprisingly popping up on the injury report this morning, listed as questionable with an illness for the matchup.

Looking at the odds for tonight, the Steelers enter as three-point favorites and hold -175 moneyline odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Dolphins are +145 underdogs, with the game total set at 42.5 points.

There are plenty of ways to get involved in the action outside of backing a side or total. This article will look at my top Kenneth Gainwell prop bets ahead of tonight’s Week 15 Monday Night Football matchup.

Best Kenneth Gainwell Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Kenneth Gainwell Anytime Touchdown (+145)

After spending the first four seasons of his career in Philadelphia, Kenneth Gainwell elected to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason. He has made an impressive impact and has gradually climbed the depth chart for importance to the offense as the season has progressed. Gainwell has tallied 374 rushing yards, 286 receiving yards and six total touchdowns this season. He is tied with Jaylen Warren and DK Metcalf for the most touchdowns on the team.

Looking at the matchup for this game, Miami has some vulnerabilities defensively. The Dolphins rank 15th in points allowed and 19th in yards conceded on the year. They have especially struggled against the rush, ranking 27th in rushing yards allowed and 28th in net yards per rush attempt.

Gainwell’s six touchdowns are already tied for a career-high, and his importance to the offense has never been higher in his career. He has three touchdowns over the past four weeks and Warren’s questionable tag could further present increased levels of opportunities. The expectation is that Warren will give it a go, but if he is limited in any way, Gainwell will be the biggest beneficiary. He has established himself as a key part of the Steelers’ attack, and this has only increased as the season has gone on. Getting +145 odds against a vulnerable defense is solid value. Look for one of the team’s leading touchdown scorers to add to his total and reach pay dirt again tonight.

Kenneth Gainwell to Record 40+ Receiving Yards (+226)

One area where Gainwell has especially carved out a niche in this Steelers offense has been his ability as a pass catcher. He has posted 50 receptions for 286 receiving yards and a pair of receiving scores on the season. These each mark career-high numbers, and Gainwell ranks second on the Steelers in receptions, trailing only DK Metcalf with 52 receptions on the year.

Gainwell has earned the trust of Aaron Rodgers and become increasingly important to the passing production. He has seen six or more targets in three of the past four games, and he will face a Dolphins team that has struggled to slow down opposing running backs in the passing game. They have allowed the ninth-most receiving yards to opposing running backs, giving up almost eight yards per reception.

The standard receiving prop for Gainwell is set at 25.5 yards for this matchup. While I am in favor of this as well, I am pushing the receiving number a bit higher. He is averaging 22.0 receiving yards per matchup but has tallied as many as 81 yards through the air in a game this year. With Warren potentially limited and this being a vulnerable portion of Miami’s defense, count on the Steelers leaning on Gainwell’s pass-catching skills at a regular rate. This has the makings of a major game for the former Super Bowl champion, and I am backing him to record 40+ receiving yards on the +226 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook.
