It’s a cruel twist of fate that the 8-5 Detroit Lions are fighting for their playoff lives this week. But that’s the nature of the loaded NFC. One game back of the final wild card spot — and firmly in the division race — any loss would be devastating. Good thing the Los Angeles Rams are pushovers, right?

It’s difficult to find weaknesses in this Los Angeles Rams team. But if there’s one crack they’ve shown, it’s their red zone defense against running backs. Enter David Montgomery. “Knuckles” has given way to Jahmyr Gibbs’ superstar leap, but he remains an important part of this offense.
This game’s massive total implies a lot of red-zone action. If they get down there, Montgomery is bound to get a chance at punching one in. I’ll take his plus odds here.
Matthew Stafford 300+ Passing Yards (+119)
It’s time for another Matthew Stafford revenge game against his former team. Detroit’s secondary has been its main issue all season, and things will only be more difficult now that Brian Branch is out for the season. Few teams have been able to stop Stafford and his star receiving duo of Davante Adams and Puka Nacua. I highly doubt that Detroit will be the rare team to slow down this Los Angeles passing attack. Count on another big box score from the MVP favorite.
