We have seven games tonight in the NBA, and you’ve come to the right place for coverage. We’ll be tipping off at 7 PM EST with the Hawks visiting the Pistons, and concluding the night with Steph Curry’s return from injury as the Warriors host the Timberwolves at 10 PM EST.

This article will look at my top Pick6 plays for tonight’s slate. We simply choose whether a player will record more or less of the set statistic. Here are my favorite plays for tonight’s action.
Jalen Johnson Less than 43.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Given the tear that the young wing is on this season, it seems unreasonable to expect Johnson to go for less than 43.5 PRA tonight. But tonight’s matchup is tough, as Detroit possesses the fourth ranked defense in the entire league, and has been extremely successful in limiting opponent points in the paint. Johnson has evolved his game this season and has been shooting 40.4% from three thus far, but 75% of Johnson’s shot attempts come from two point territory, and 42% of his total shot attempts are at the rim. Detroit’s rim protection has been excellent and should do a good job of limiting Johnson’s scoring output when he goes downhill.
Johnson has also evolved his game as a playmaker in Trae Young’s wake, eclipsing his previous career-high of 5 APG with a stellar 7.9 this season. He’s throwing lobs, finding cutters, and hitting open shooters with confidence. He’ll do much of this tonight, but not more than 43.5.
Despite Johnson’s evolution as a player, he’ll have issues cracking this Detroit defense tonight.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker Less Than 20.5 Points
Alexander-Walker is having a career-year in Atlanta, nearly doubling his previous PPG career-high of 11. He’s cemented a starting role and could be a sneaky MIP candidate. He’s shooting 39.1% from three and 46.8% from the field.
Similar to Johnson, he’s made some large strides in his game this season, but maybe they’ve always been there. Either way, he’ll have a tough time getting it going against Detroit tonight.
Stephen Curry More Than 24.5 Points
Curry is back tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves after a five game absence due to a quad injury. Despite Curry’s presumed rust, he should have no issue getting more than 24.5 tonight against an average defense who could be without Anthony Edwards, who is a standout defender but is listed as questionable for tonight’s game. Curry is having somewhat of a bounce-back season with 27.9 PPG, but it’s his efficiency that’s been particularly impressive. The future Hall-of-Famer is shooting 47.1% from the floor, a mark he hasn’t touched since 2022-2023.
